Parramatta Road Project (no 1)

site specific video installation, stereo sound  

'The road becomes a theatre, with its own performers, dancers, stage and audience.'

The projection is a delayed mirror to the street, replaying events from the last two years that occurred within 300 meters of the screen. The video installation attracts further events to the street.

Part of a series of works that includes Road Movie (part 1) 2008, Lost 2008 and Walking Parramatta Road 1996. The work is viewed when dark from a vehicle or footpath. 497 Parramatta Road, Leichhardt, Sydney.
